The Entrepreneurs’ Organization is a global peer-to-peer network of more than 18,000 entrepreneurs, with 213 chapters across more than 75 countries. Established in 1987, EO provides a platform for business leaders to exchange knowledge and experiences, while facilitating connections and opportunities for business growth.

During the meeting, the High Commissioner briefed the participating business leaders on the current economic and trade environment in Sri Lanka and the progress being made under the present Government to strengthen economic activity and create opportunities for private-sector participation. The High Commissioner highlighted the potential for Pakistani businesses to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, including through joint ventures and other forms of collaboration with Sri Lankan counterparts.

Particular attention was given to the forthcoming Sri Lanka Expo 2027, scheduled to be held in Colombo from 14 to 17 January 2027. The High Commissioner invited members of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization to participate in the Expo and encouraged them to use the platform to explore Sri Lankan products and services, establish direct business contacts and identify opportunities for trade, investment and joint ventures.

The members of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization expressed their interest in participating in Sri Lanka Expo 2027 and exploring opportunities for enhanced business engagement with Sri Lankan companies. They also expressed their willingness to develop commercial contacts with Sri Lankan counterparts and requested the assistance of the High Commission in facilitating such business-to-business engagements.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of Chancery and the Minister. The High Commission will continue to facilitate linkages between the Pakistani and Sri Lankan business communities, with a view to promoting increased trade, investment and private-sector cooperation between the two countries.
