Ambassador and Permanent Representative presented the Extension of Service to the Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Tyrol, Austria, Christian Steppan, on 12 August 2026.

During the meeting, the Ambassador and the Honorary Consul discussed avenues to further strengthen bilateral relations, promote cultural exchange and deepen economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Tyrol, Austria.

The engagement focused on fostering professional collaboration between Tyrol and Sri Lanka in the hospitality and tourism sectors. The Honorary Consul outlined proposals to enhance Sri Lanka’s visibility in Tyrol and further promote trade and business-to-business contacts.
