Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shanika Dissanayake met with the newly appointed Coordinator of the Sri Lanka Catholic Community in Bahrain, Rismy Suranga, and the office bearers of the Committee at the Embassy premises in Bahrain on 17 August 2026.

During the meeting, Ambassador Dissanayake congratulated the newly appointed Coordinator and the Committee on their appointments and wished them every success in their tenure and continued service to the Sri Lankan community in Bahrain.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters concerning the welfare of the Sri Lankan community and the role of Sri Lankan community organisations in promoting unity, harmony and cooperation among Sri Lankans living in Bahrain.
