Film Director Obeli Krishna, accompanied by Susmitha, met with Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran on 31 August 2026.

The meeting focused on Obeli Krishna’s upcoming film project, with a productive exchange of views on potential collaboration and the way forward.

The interaction also provided an opportunity to discuss the potential of promoting Sri Lanka as a destination for film production and film tourism, while highlighting the role of the film and creative industries in promoting cultural exchanges and further strengthening the longstanding people-to-people ties between Sri Lanka and India.
